Recap: Bastille Day Event with Diana Snowden Seysses

On July 14th, we had the honor to gather the Bâtonnage community at Bay Grape Napa and enjoy wine and conversation with Diana Snowden Seysess, enologist at Domaine Dujac in Burgundy, consultant at Domaine de Triennes in Provence; and winemaker at Snowden Vineyards (need we say more??). Diana and our founder, Stevie Stacionis, commemorated Bastille Day by discussing climate change, community versus patriarchy, and fighting for the future of our industry and our children. Take that, Bastille Day!

In addition to the conversation, our guests enjoyed a flight of three gorgeous wines made by Diana, including back-vintage selections from Triennes, Snowden, and Dujac. It took some restraint, but we didn’t drink all the wines and we have a few wine packs for sale to support the Bâtonnage Mentorship Program! Click here to purchase..

A big thank you to Diana for selecting and donating these wines to help tell her story and shape our conversation.

Missed the event but want to support? BUY THE WINE PACK, listen to the conversation between these INSPIRING women while sipping these EXTRAORDINARY wines, and SUPPORT MENTORSHIP, the community building block.

Why these wines?
"I chose the wines because they are some of my favorites and have just the right amount of age to be showing beautifully right now. The Triennes Viognier is such an anomaly. It has the white-flowered bouquet of Viognier, but being from high altitude, it is light-footed and fresh on the palate. The 2016 Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon blend from Snowden Vineyards is classic, distinctive Napa Cab. It is layered, dynamic and long, made with the same time-honored techniques of making living vins de terroir I learned in Burgundy. 2005 is one of the best vintages in Burgundy in recent history, and our Morey-Saint-Denis represents the heart of our diverse holdings at Domaine Dujac." -- Diana Snowden Seysses
