Dear bubbly lovers,
My name is Blaine Ashley, aka ‘Champagne Blaine’. And no, my parents did not know I’d pursue a bubbly-based career path at birth. :)
I’m a New York-based industry professional and the original founder of New York Champagne Week which launched in November 2013. The inspiration behind this fizz-fueled week of events is to promote and encourage the consumption of champagne on any given day through a variety of creative events, pairing experiences, and educational seminars.
In 2018, I developed a passion to go even further in promoting more premium sparkling wines (even beyond champagne) alongside the incredible bubbly-centric female talent from around the world.
And so The FIZZ is Female was born.
The FIZZ is Female is a movement that puts the spotlight on female sparkling winemakers, corporate boss babes, bubbly wine brand ambassadors, and effervescent restaurateurs and bar owners.
Each event consists of an enlightening and empowering panel discussion while select champagnes and sparkling wines from female-led wineries circulate the room.
Join me at this year’s Bâtonnage Forum as I lead an inspiring conversation with a star-studded group of female powerhouses featuring Sonoma's own Jayme Powers, owner of SIGH wine bar; Pauline Lhote, winemaker for Chandon USA; Naomi Smith, western regional manager of Champagne Laurent Perrier; Tawnya Falkner, founder and owner of Le Grand Courtâge French sparkling wine; and Tracy Bogue of ClubBubbly.com.
