Why grapple with negative self-talk when you can eliminate it all together?

In one of the six breakout sessions featured at this year’s Bâtonnage Forum, Ashley Darling and Jayne Portnoy, avid practitioners and thoughtful moderators, will guide you through a series of interactive exercises to uncover Limiting Beliefs by putting pen to paper. This breakout, Limiting Beliefs and the Art of Writing in the Wine Industry, is designed for those of you interested in stepping into the best version of yourself.

As part of our efforts to engage the Bâtonnage community during these times of isolation, we are thrilled to share the following activities that these impressive ladies have dreamt up. Join us for these community-oriented and meditative exercises that will not only promote self-growth during these isolating times, but will also reveal a sneak-peek at what this session is all about! Details below!

Exploring Your Personal Terroir Workshop: Jayne Portnoy has generously offered to host a Pen2Paper workshop exclusively for our Bâtonnage community! In this one-hour workshop we will explore how our environment has shaped who we are and how we show up as an expression of our own personal palate. Not a writer? No worries – Jayne will guide you through easy exercises to make putting pen to paper enjoyable. This workshop is free of charge and will be held April 7 at 4:00 pm (PDT) via Zoom. Link to register here.

Live Zoom YogaThere is definitely sadness in isolation. And there is incredible technology to connect remotely. Since Ashley Darling is unable to host regular yoga classes, she is offering online classes over Zoom! Tune in every weekday at 9:30 am (PDT) for a $5 community class with live humans. Link to register here. And if you fall in love with the classes, Ashley will also be hosting Sunrise Yoga (in-person) on the yoga deck at Sonoma Broadway Farms at 7:15am on the day of Bâtonnage Forum.

So, let’s introduce the passionate women who have collaborated and joined their talents to bring this introspective and rewarding breakout session and pre-event activities to Bâtonnage attendees:

Ashley Darling is an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher who weaves Life Coaching into her offering as an extension of the practice off the mat. Her journey with limiting beliefs began after a “failed" startup and cross-country move, ultimately shaking her previously steady foundation.

Jayne Portnoy has achieved a career in the hospitality industry made of equal parts kismet and hustle. Combining her extensive career in growing people and brands with a decade of teaching yoga, the Pen2Paper Project was born. Through workshops, gatherings and daily writing prompts, the Pen2Paper Project provides an opportunity for everyone to reap the returns achieved when putting pen to paper.
