Lily Freedman - Program Lead
Lily Mirabelle Freedman is the General Manager of Dunn Vineyards, the first non-family member to oversee the operation. She grew up in the New York City restaurant business, which fostered her love of collecting and learning about fine and rare wine. While pursuing a degree in English at the University of Chicago, she worked in the kitchens of Daniel Boulud and Missy Robbins to learn the intricacies of the restaurant world. After college, Freedman served as a recipe developer at Bon Appetit Magazine and on several cookbooks.
Freedman honed her expertise for nearly eight years at Acker Wines, the world’s leading fine wine auction house, departing in 2021 as Director of Special Projects. There, she defined the company’s data analytics program, and her work focused on the experience and understanding of the world’s rarest wines.
In 2021, she was brought to Napa to oversee the marketing efforts at Colgin Cellars, directing private client sales, managing global pricing, and spearheading a variety of operations, technology, and hospitality initiatives.
Since arriving at Dunn Vineyards in 2023, Lily has immersed herself in the challenges facing small, particularly family-owned, wineries today.
